This is one criminaly underrated album. If you like Dead Kennedy's, Black Flag or the Misfits, then this album is for you. One of the few early 80's punk bands that could actually play (and very well at that), FEAR made a punk masterpeice with 'The Record', and I am in awe that there are no reviews for this slice of punk rock genius/5().

Fear The Record on g LP. Along with Black Flag and The Circle Jerks, Fear ushered in a new face of gritty, fast, angry punk rock which would later be called hardcore by some dedicated lioligammekerti.rsenotbahorncozerformdawdmorttagalvoi.infoinfo Black Flag and The Circle Jerks represented West Coast inner suburb, art damaged nerds - Fear offered a sometimes sophisticated, sometimes not, always musically innovative antagonism that owed as.

I owned this on vinyl some 20 years ago in high school. The songs are timeless. Nothing like a 40 year old driving around cranking punk songs from the 80's. Fear appeared on Saturday Night live back in the 80's singing the song New York's Alright If You Like Saxophones with about 30 skinheads doing stage dives and slam dancing/5().
