   Back then, this was one of the main ways I got into new music (along with college radio and magazines). One gloomy Autumn night, he brought over "Osculum Obscenum", the second full-length album from Swedish Death Metal band Hypocrisy. I had heard plenty of Death Metal over the years, but this was beyond all of that; far more evil and far more epic.

   Hypocrisy is metal!!! Osculum Obscenum songs This album has both brutality and darkness in their tunes. Osculum Obscenum album for sale With excellent combination of vocals, ripping riffs, and awsome drums, this album has become one of my favorite Death/Black metal albums of all metal era.

   Every Hypocrisy album has something different to offer. Osculum Obscenum was their 2nd full length cd, and does it pack a punch. They also decided to make a cover of Venom's Black Metal, which fits really well on this album/5(12).

   This sophomore effort followed Hypocrisy's strong debut, Penetralia, and featured even more brutal death metal from one of Sweden's finest practitioners of the genre. Obsculum Obscenum reveals a focused band building momentum while attempting to define a genre (or movement, really) that would dominate European metal for a decade. Hypocrisy simply shreds on this Nuclear Blast recording 8/
